Factory Reset

Microphone Factory Reset
Click microphone display "Settings" → "System Information", long press "Settings" button for 5 seconds or more (see figure below), microphone will restore factory settings and automatically restart. Items that will be restored: - ID number - Role - Microphone gain - Display brightness - Standby wait time - Later changed WiFi name and password - Later changed microphone IP (wired microphone only)
Before factory reset, must confirm whether OID and MID in "Settings" → "System Information" → "System Version" meet requirements (refer to FAQ chapter question 1), otherwise may cause microphone unable to connect to WIFI
Main Unit Factory Reset
Click main unit display "System Settings" → "Main Unit Settings Information", long press "Factory Reset (3S)" button for 3 seconds or more, main unit will restore factory settings and automatically restart. Items that will be restored: - Conference mode - Maximum number of speakers - Speaking countdown mode and time - Camera tracking settings
Microphone Firmware Upgrade (OTA Method)
Preparation
Several microphones to be upgraded (with power supply)
One wireless AP (for wireless microphone upgrade use), or one network cable
One Windows 10/11 computer
One web plugin (File Server\common\webPackage\DCSResourceServer_Setup_xxx.exe)
One microphone firmware xxx.bin (stored in File Server\massProduction\Microphone\Wireless (or Wired) Main Board\OTA Upgrade Firmware\)

Operation Steps
Install the web plugin
If connecting wireless AP, it is recommended to first set computer to turn off firewall, forget previous WIFI networks, otherwise after connecting AP for a period of time, inability to access internet may cause system to automatically switch network back to original WIFI, leading to upgrade failure
Connect Windows computer to wireless AP (account/password refer to here), or connect via network cable to main unit's EXT/LAN port, i.e., ensure computer and microphone are on same network
Power on microphone, wait for microphone to connect to network (running light flashing or display network connection icon showing signal)
Open the main unit web backend at http://192.168.10.111, go to "Microphone Settings" → "Microphone OTA Upgrade", select the upgrade firmware xxx.bin, and click "Upgrade"
Before upgrade, must ensure IP displayed in upper right corner is on same subnet as microphone. When computer has multiple network cards, it is recommended to turn off other network cards, keep only one network card before connecting to AP
If the microphone's "System Version" is earlier than 250708, use the "Console_20250708" or earlier console version to upgrade the microphone firmware; otherwise use the latest version
Note: Wired and wireless microphone upgrade methods are similar and are not repeated here First click "Cancel" (to prevent previous upgrade from not stopping), then click "Confirm" to start upgrade. At this time all microphones will enter upgrade page, and microphone boom indicator will light up If wireless microphone upgrade process network interrupts or exception occurs, following error prompt will display, and microphone boom indicator will change color. At this time as long as network is normal, click "Cancel" and click "Confirm" to restart upgrade If wired microphone upgrade process network interrupts or exception occurs or exceeds 5 minutes without upgrade success, please operate as follows: Set the computer IP to 192.168.10.110, open the main unit web backend → "System O&M" → "Wired Microphone Firmware Upgrade", select the firmware, and restart the upgrade service Turn off wired microphone power, hold microphone side button, then power on microphone. At this time microphone enters OTA mode, all indicators flash rapidly continuously After microphone enters upgrade state, indicators stop rapid flashing, wait for microphone upgrade to complete If upgrade successful, microphone will automatically restart. Click the microphone display "Settings" → "System Information" → view "System Version" on the system information page to check whether it has been updated to the latest version
If there are many microphones, the following methods are recommended for batch viewing:
- Open the main unit web backend → "Microphone Settings" → "Switch to Information Page" (recommended for a moderate number of microphones, can be viewed one by one);
- Open the main unit web backend → "Microphone Settings" → "Scan", and observe the microphone version in the scan results (the main unit must be online; suitable for a large number of microphones that cannot be viewed one by one);
Microphone Display Firmware Upgrade (OTA Method)
Preparation
Previous version display firmware (assumed to be private_20250620)
Latest version display firmware (stored in File Server\Production Materials\Customization\Display Firmware\Microphone_xxx\private)
One genLcdFirmwareDiff.sh script
One mobaxterm software
Others same as "Microphone Firmware Upgrade" chapter

Operation Steps (Recommended for Manufacturer Service Personnel)
Open microphone display, photograph "Settings" → "System Information" page to manufacturer service personnel for confirmation
Please confirm whether display specifications of microphones to be batch upgraded are consistent (brand, model, size, etc.). If inconsistent, consult service before operating
Open computer, place private_20250620, private_20251028 in same directory as genLcdFirmwareDiff.sh script
Open mobaxterm, create new terminal
Enter the following commands (assuming the genLcdFirmwareDiff.sh script is in D:\dcs):
$ cd /drives/d/dcs/
$ ./genLcdFirmwareDiff.sh ./private_20250620 ./private_20251028
After running, upgrade folder private_private_20250620_20251028 will be generated in current directory
Following same as most steps in front of Microphone Firmware Upgrade
Computer should preferably forget previous WIFI networks, otherwise after connecting AP for a period of time, inability to access internet may cause network switch back to original WIFI, leading to upgrade failure
Open the main unit web backend at http://192.168.10.111, go to "Microphone Settings" → "Interface OTA Upgrade", click the "Upload Upgrade File" dialog, and select private_20250620_20251028 from the steps above
First click "Cancel" (to prevent previous upgrade from not stopping), then click "Confirm" to start upgrade. At this time all microphones will enter upgrade page, and microphone boom indicator will light up
If upgrade successful, microphone will automatically restart. Click microphone display "Settings" → "System Information" → view "LCD Version" to check if updated to latest
- LCD version format definition:
- 20250711: Year Month Day
- 221541: Hour Minute Second
- During batch display firmware upgrade, if an individual microphone fails to upgrade, turn off the microphones that have already upgraded, restart the remaining microphones, click "Cancel" in the web backend, then click "Confirm" to re-upgrade
Microphone Display Firmware Upgrade (TF Card Method)
Preparation
Several microphones to be upgraded (with power supply) One computer One TF card, 8-128GB both acceptable, format to FAT32 or exFAT format One card reader Latest version display firmware (stored in File ServerSpecial DirectoryMaterialsFirmware_xxx)
Operation Steps
Open computer, extract display firmware to private folder (name must be exactly the same), copy to TF card root directory Insert TF card into microphone's TF card slot Power on microphone, start upgrading display firmware Display prompts completed, turn off microphone power, remove TF card, re-open microphone power If upgrade successful, click microphone display "Settings" → "System Information" → view "LCD Version" to check if updated to latest
Main Unit Firmware Upgrade (USB Cable Method)
Preparation
One main unit to be upgraded (with power supply) One Windows 7/10/11 computer One USB cable One MCUBootUtility.EXE software (stored in File ServerUnitUpgrade Tool_mcuBootUtility) One main unit firmware xxx.bin file (stored in File ServerUnitProduction Flashing or OTA Upgrade Firmware)
This upgrade method only supports main units with OTA upgrade interface on front panel
Operation Steps
Extract MCUBootUtility on computer, open bin/MCUBootUtility.exe
The software directory must not contain Chinese characters, otherwise it will cause flashing abnormalities;
Plug one end of upgrade cable to computer, other end to main unit front panel OTA interface, turn on computer Simultaneously hold main unit front panel START and STOP buttons, turn on main unit power. Computer will hear USB device insertion sound, and Device Manager will show "USB Input Device"

Open "MCUBootUtility.EXE" software, set as shown below, click Connect to ROM

If normal, display as shown below

If abnormal, please unplug and replug USB cable, then try Connect to ROM again
Set values as shown below (select main unit firmware xxx.bin at bin/s19/hex), click write(Auto erase) to flash. Wait for green progress bar below to complete indicating flash completion

The firmware directory must not contain Chinese characters, otherwise it will cause flashing abnormalities;
If upgrade successful, click main unit display "Settings" → "System Information" → view "System Version" in information page to check if updated to latest
Main Unit Firmware Upgrade (OTA Method, Recommended)
Preparation
One main unit to be upgraded (with power supply)
One wireless AP (for wireless microphone upgrade use), or one network cable

FAQ (Continuously Updated)
Q: Microphone cannot connect to network after power on
A:
- Check if AP is on;
- Check if network cable is normal, replace if necessary;
- Try factory reset for microphone;
- Click microphone display → "Settings" → "System Information", view system version and feedback to service personnel;
Q: Wireless microphone all indicators constantly on after power on
A:
- Check if main unit is on, if network cable is plugged into WIFI network port;
Q: Wired microphone all indicators constantly on after power on, or indicators off but cannot speak, or display network status persistently disconnected, or display shows network connected but cannot connect to main unit (note: when using switch box, wired microphone will show network connected even without connecting main unit)
A:
- Check if main unit is on;
- Check main unit model, whether it's wireless-only version (does not support wired microphone access);
- Check if link from wired microphone to main unit is normal;
- Whether corresponding channel indicator on front panel is lit; if not lit, likely involves following problem;
- Confirm whether main unit main board has function to dynamically switch between aviation connector and network port;
- Click main unit display → "Microphone Settings" → "Wired Channel", check if wired microphone cable is plugged into correct aviation connector or RJ45 interface according to display configuration;

Q: Microphone boom, buttons, running status indicators all flashing rapidly after power on
A:
- This problem generally has 3 situations, first check microphone display → "Settings" → "System Information" → upper right corner status code to determine:

- IP conflict (wired microphone only). When this occurs, microphone will automatically increase its IP by 1. Just restart this microphone. If IP still needs to be set, refer to Set IP chapter;

- ID conflict. When this occurs, microphone will automatically increase its ID by 1. Just restart this microphone. If ID still needs to be set, refer to Assign ID chapter;

- System exceeds maximum microphone capacity, contact service personnel;

If system has both wireless and wired microphones, recommend first turning on all wireless microphones, wait for all wireless microphones to connect to main unit, then turn on all wired microphones. If IP or ID conflict occurs, just restart corresponding wired microphone;
Q: Audio/video quality issues
A:
- Ensure WIFI is within effective range, within 50 meters without obstruction;
- Ensure WIFI signal is 5GHz, not 2.4GHz;
- Click microphone display → "Settings" → "System Information", click main unit display → "System Information" → "Refresh", make preliminary judgment based on following situations:

- If packet loss count or packet loss rate grows too fast: generally microphone and AP distance too far, or other 5G signal interference. Try eliminating above issues before testing;

- If underrun count grows too fast: generally AP running too long causing network packet loss too frequent. Try restarting AP;

Q: Main unit STATUS indicator not flashing after power on
A: Check if main unit connection to wireless router network cable is properly plugged, if network port indicator is lit, if wireless router is on;
Q: Main unit webpage cannot login
A: Observe status indicator, if flashing normally, use computer to ping device IP address 192.168.10.111, first confirm if device is running normally;
Q: Main unit display only shows text, no icons
A: Main unit display has 2 batches: DC48270S043 (old), DC48270DN043 (new). Please distinguish model and flash accordingly;
Q: No sound output from system after main unit power on, microphone power on and speaking
A: Check in sequence:
- Through display → System Settings → System Registration, observe if main unit trial period has expired?
- Is rear volume knob turned to minimum position?
- Connect audio source to any AUDIO IN interface on rear, does AUDIO OUT have loopback output?
- Photograph main unit display home page and system information page to service personnel for confirmation;
Following for professionals only:
- Check if arrows on main unit main board, MCU core board, DSP core board inside chassis are assembled in consistent order;
- Whether relay is engaged (whether main unit main board LED1 indicator is lit);
- For DCS_SRV_MB_V304 and above version main boards:
- Whether J30 is shorted;
Q: Main unit cannot save time and registration code
A: Check in sequence:
- Is button battery installed, is battery voltage around 3V?
- Is DSP core board inserted in correct position?
- Check if stamp hole core board is soldered normally;

- Check main unit main board version inside chassis, v305 large base board should be matched with v205 and above version front panel;
Q: Registration code input prompts error after input
A: Check in sequence:
- Is the machine code provided to customer service correct?
- Is the main unit configuration code already set?
- Is the main unit time deviated too much from local time?
Q: Conference management platform cannot open platform webpage after installation, restart
A: Check in sequence:
- Is conference management platform installed to default C drive?
- Check if port conflicts: 1) Windows, use netstat -ano | findstr 80, 2) Unix, use netstat -apn | grep 80 to check if other software is using port 80;
Q: Wired microphone cannot connect to network after power on
A: Check in sequence:
- Check if network wiring is correct;
- Is main unit's wired channel set to correct aviation connector or network port;
Q: Main unit display prompts low battery or battery not installed
A: Check in sequence:
- Check if CR1220 button battery is installed;
- If CR1220 button battery is installed and factory date is not exceeding 12 months, connect to the conference system network and use the main unit web backend to synchronize time with the main unit;
